Hi, I'm Lynn Gallagher

With almost two years of experience on the County Board representing District #11, I am deeply committed to serving our community and driving positive change.

My career has been dedicated to advocacy and support for individuals with disabilities, most recently as the Director of the Lynch Disability Resource and Cultural Center at Loras College. Additionally, I have contributed my expertise as a board member on the Illinois Council of Developmental Disabilities and at Camp Albrecht Acres. My passion for enhancing the quality of life and opportunities for all community members drives my continued dedication to public service.

Before my tenure at Loras College, I played a significant role in promoting economic and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities as an appointee to the Economic and Employment Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Task Force in Illinois. I also had the honor of working as the Director of the TRiO Upward Bound program at Northeast Iowa Community College, where I championed educational advancement for underrepresented students.

My extensive background and unwavering commitment to inclusion and accessibility equip me with the insight and experience needed to effectively serve on the county board and represent all residents. I look forward to the opportunity to bring my dedication, skills, and passion to this role, ensuring that our community continues to thrive and support all of its members.

Hello Neighbors,

My name is Lynn Gallagher, and I am honored to serve as your District 11 Jo Daviess County Board Representative. As a County Board Member, my focus is promoting sustainable development, improving public services and fostering a thriving business environment. I am running for re-election and would be honored to have your vote.

With over 4 decades of experience in community engagement, I have worked closely with various stakeholders to bring positive change and enhance the quality of life in our county. I currently serve as a volunteer EMT for Galena EMS and have served on the following boards: Galena ARC, Galena Chamber Ensemble, Rainbow Ridge, Galena Primary PTK, and Galena Academic Booster Club.

Additionally, I have served as a Board Member of the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities, the Illinois THINK College Task Force, and the Illinois Economic and Employment for Individuals with Disabilities Task Force, all appointed by the Governor.

I have worked as the Director of the Lynch Disability Resource and Cultural Center at Loras College since 2011 and was the Director of TRiO Upward Bound at Northeast Iowa Community College from 2003 2011. While working in TRiO, I served as President of Iowa MAEOPP (Mid-American Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel). I have also served as Board Member of the Autism Society of Illinois and was President of Illinois TASH. Throughout my career I expanded educational outcomes for marginalized communities and advocated for the full inclusion of all individuals in education, employment, and community engagement.

I am grateful for the trust placed in me, and I am eager to work collaboratively with my colleagues and the community to address our shared challenges and opportunities.

Your input is valued, and I encourage you to share your thoughts and concerns with me. Together, we can create positive change and build a brighter future for our county.

Thank you for the privilege to serve as your County Board Representative. I look forward to a productive and successful journey together.

Lynn Gallagher
